VPNPut Setup Guide

Activate your service, then give the subscription to your client. Follow the steps below, then check the connection using your exit location and the destination website.

Create an account and save your login details

Open the VPNPut user dashboard and go to account creation. Follow the prompts to set a username and password. VPNPut does not require an email address; a username and password are all you need to create an account. This service account lets you view plans, get your subscription, check orders, and submit support tickets. A configuration name in your client is only a local label; it is separate from your account and does not need to match it.

Choose a username that is easy to recognize but does not reveal sensitive personal information. Use a password you do not reuse on other websites, and save it in a trusted password manager. Check your details before submitting, then make sure the dashboard opens. If you return to the login page, sign in with the username and password you just saved rather than creating another account.

Once you are in the dashboard, locate the account overview, client downloads, and plans sections. You will return to these areas throughout setup, so consider bookmarking the dashboard. If you switch computers or reinstall the client, use the same service account. A missing local server list does not mean you need to create another account.

Choose a plan and check your order status

Next, go to the plans section of the dashboard and choose a billing option based on how often you use the service. Monthly subscriptions suit regular use, with data resetting each month on the activation date. Data packages suit occasional or irregular use: the data lasts until you use it and never expires. Decide whether you need data that resets regularly or data you can save for later, then compare allowances—not just prices.

Monthly subscriptions: ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB, or ¥28/month for 500GB. Data packages: ¥158 for 300GB, ¥358 for 1000GB, or ¥658 for 3000GB. All options allow unlimited simultaneous devices, but adding devices does not increase your data allowance. When sharing across devices, consider total usage for video streaming, file transfers, and everyday browsing.

Open your chosen plan and check its name, price, data allowance, and billing terms. Then follow the checkout instructions. Alipay, WeChat Pay, and USDT are supported; follow the payment steps shown at checkout. After paying, return to the dashboard and check the order result and plan status in the account overview. A successful payment notification alone does not mean the client has your server list.

If the status has not updated, refresh the dashboard and check the order before trying to pay again. If you upgrade a monthly subscription mid-cycle, the price difference is converted into remaining days; review the result shown in the dashboard before proceeding. VPNPut offers a 30-day money-back guarantee. Check the Terms of Service for the request process and terms. Once your plan is active, continue to get your subscription.

Choose This Plan

Get your subscription link from the dashboard

Open the account overview and confirm that your plan is active and its data allowance is shown, then find the subscription option. The subscription link lets your client retrieve server configuration; it is not a regular webpage URL or an installer. If you paste it into a browser, you may see configuration text or a download prompt. Neither replaces importing it into the client.

If the dashboard offers an import option for your client, open the client first, then start the import from the dashboard. If your browser asks whether to open an app, check that the app name matches the client you just installed. After confirming, return to the client and check the configuration. If the app does not open, leave the dashboard page open and copy the link to continue manually. Avoid repeatedly clicking different import options.

When importing manually, copy the entire subscription link. Do not miss the end of the link or include surrounding instructions. The access parameters are part of the configuration, so do not remove them to shorten the URL. This guide does not provide a real subscription link; get yours from the user dashboard after signing in. Do not share or copy links from chat groups or other public pages.

If you cannot find the subscription option, first check that you are signed in to the account used for payment and that your plan is active. If the order is complete but the overview still looks wrong, submit a support ticket from the dashboard. Do not post your link publicly to ask for help. For details on what subscription links do, how to update them, and what to do if one is exposed, see the complete guide to subscription links.

Open Account Overview

Import the client for your platform

Go to the downloads section of the dashboard and choose the VPNPut client for your device. Sign in to download for Windows, macOS, Android, and Linux; the iOS download option is available only when your plan is active. Installing the client and having an active subscription are separate steps: opening the app does not mean your service is active. After installation, import the subscription you got in the previous step.

For your first setup, use the client provided in the dashboard to avoid issues with unsupported configuration formats or import methods. If you use a client you already have, make sure it supports the subscription format provided by the dashboard, then use the appropriate import option. Terms like “subscription,” “configuration,” and “import from link” are common feature names. If your client uses different labels, look for the equivalent option rather than changing unrelated settings.

Windows: Import from a subscription or configuration

On Windows, download the desktop client from the dashboard, install it by following the prompts, and launch it. Open subscription management or configuration, then look for an option such as Add Subscription or Import from Link. Paste the full link into the address field, give the configuration a recognizable name if prompted, then save and update it. The name only affects how it appears on your device; it does not change your account or plan.

When the update finishes, check that the configuration is selected and that locations appear in the server list. If you see a configuration entry but no servers, first confirm that the update completed successfully. Do not connect yet. If the system asks for permission when you connect, make sure the request comes from the client you just installed. You do not need to explore system proxy settings or other modes during the initial import; follow the client’s instructions to make a basic connection first.

macOS: Import and check the active configuration

On macOS, use the Mac client link provided in the dashboard, then move the app to your Applications folder and open it as instructed. If a system prompt appears on first launch, check the app source and the prompt details. If you are unsure, pause and consult the dashboard instructions rather than changing macOS security settings. In the client, add the subscription link in subscription or configuration management, save it, and update.

After the servers load, make sure the newly imported configuration is active. Some desktop clients put the connection controls in the menu bar; open the main window to see the full server list. Follow system prompts to allow the necessary network configuration. If the menu bar shows a connection but the destination website looks unchanged, return to the main window to check the active configuration and exit location, then follow the verification steps at the end of this guide.

Android: Import the link and allow the VPN connection

On Android, sign in to the dashboard and open the Android client download page. Follow the installation steps shown on your device. In the app, add the link from the configuration or subscription page. If the dashboard offers an option to open the client for import, you can start the import in your browser and then check the result in the app. Either way, wait for the subscription update to finish and confirm that servers appear before connecting.

When you connect for the first time, Android may ask you to confirm the VPN connection request. Check the app name, then grant permission as prompted. This permission lets the app handle the relevant network requests; it does not confirm that the service you want to use is reachable. Keep the app in the foreground for your first test. If the connection drops only when the app is in the background, see Troubleshooting for background behavior on mobile devices. Avoid changing a wide range of battery or background settings right away.

iOS: Check that the download option is available

On iOS, first sign in to the VPNPut dashboard and confirm your plan is active. Then open the downloads section to check for the iOS client option and follow the instructions shown there to get the app. Access to this option depends on your plan being active; do not assume that the sign-in-to-download process available for other platforms also applies to iOS. If the option is unavailable, check your plan status instead of looking for installation links from unknown sources.

After installing and opening the app, use the import method provided in the dashboard, or paste the link into the app’s subscription or configuration page. Once the update is complete, select the imported configuration and an exit location. When connecting for the first time, follow the system prompt to allow a VPN configuration to be added. Any further confirmation depends on what your device displays. Check the connection status in the app, then test it in a browser. Do not rely on the system status icon alone to assume every app is connected.

On Linux, get the appropriate client from the dashboard and follow its instructions to import your subscription. To use the service across devices, import your subscription on each one. VPNPut allows unlimited simultaneous devices, but you must select a configuration and start the connection separately on each device. This guide does not cover manual configuration files or command-line setup; see Troubleshooting for instructions on those topics.

Get the Client

Connect to an exit location and verify it works

After importing, choose an exit location that matches the region required by your destination service, then connect. For your first use, keep the client’s recommended routing settings to avoid changing the exit location, routing, and system network options all at once. A successful connection message means the local connection process has started. Next, verify the result using a webpage, your exit location, and the app you want to use.

First, open a website you can usually access to confirm your device’s basic internet connection is working. Then visit the international website you actually want to use. If the first site also fails to load, temporarily disconnect and test again to distinguish a local network issue from a client configuration issue. Do not reinstall the software or change every setting at once. Keep a clear before-and-after comparison to make troubleshooting easier.

Next, open the site’s exit IP checker to see the exit information for your browser’s current request. With split tunneling, different destinations may take different routes, so the result reflects only that request; it does not prove that every app uses the same exit. If the result is not what you expected, check your selected server and routing rules, then follow the relevant troubleshooting steps.

Finally, test the service you actually want to use: make sure the website loads and test any signed-in features you need. AI tools and streaming services may also be affected by account region, service policies, or the platform’s status. A successful connection does not guarantee that every destination service will work. If just one service has a problem, keep your other settings unchanged, try a different exit location, and compare the results rather than assuming your subscription has stopped working.

If your basic internet connection is working, your subscription is active, and the server list updated successfully, but you still cannot connect, use Troubleshooting to find steps for your symptoms. For help, submit a support ticket from the user dashboard. Include your device operating system, client name, selected region, error message, and what you could access before and after disconnecting. Hide passwords, subscription links, and sensitive payment details in screenshots; the error message is enough.
